UAE Central Bank Fines A Bank Dh5 Million For Violating Anti-money Laundering Laws

The Central Bank (CBUAE) on Monday imposed a fine of Dh5 million on a bank operating in the UAE for violating anti-money laundering laws and for funding illegal organisations. Swiss Regulator Seizes CHF12.7m From Mirabaud & Cie Over ‘Serious’ Legal, AML Breaches

The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA said on 17 September that it had found Mirabaud & Cie SA “breached its anti-money laundering obligations and seriously violated financial market law”.

FINMA also confiscated CHF12.7m of unlawfully generated profits and opened three proceedings against individuals.

Danish Bank To Pay $7 Mn Fine In France In 

Laundering Probe

Danske Bank, Denmark’s largest, has agreed to pay 6.3 million euros ($7 million) to end legal pursuits in France linked to alleged money laundering in its Estonian subsidiary that resulted in heavy US penalties. The fine was agreed on August 27 with France’s national financial crime prosecutors and validated by a court Wednesday.
